The mechanic

Cookie eats. Cookie grows. Her belly becomes a shield.

Most bullet heavens give you a health bar. Cookiesaner gives you a belly to protect it. The more food you steal, the bigger Cookie gets — harder hits, slower steps. From Stage 2 onwards, her belly can BELLY BOUNCE: one in four hits just drops a fat layer instead of taking HP. The whole game is figuring out how to grow without becoming a target.

Pre-Run Plate

Pick one of three build cards before every run. Damage, defense, food magnet. Same Cookie, different game each time.

The founder story

Cookie is a real puppy.

Cookie is a real maltipoo who steals everything she can get her paws on. We started calling her cookiesaner — Bosnian for cookie thief — and the name stuck. When the bullet heaven idea hit, she was the only protagonist that made sense.

Don Cookie IS Cookie. The Sarajevo neighborhoods are real places. The food is what Balkan families actually eat on holidays. BELLY BOUNCE — getting fat to tank the hits — is the one new idea this genre didn't already have. Built solo in Godot — no team, no funding, just one dev and one dog.

Most bullet heavens are built around a mechanic. This one is built around a dog, the food she steals, and the neighborhoods she steals it from. The mechanic came second.
